Permission by national council for higher education (NCHE) to the Uganda institute of banking & financial services (UIBFS) to roll out an emergency open, distance and e-learning system (oDEL) during the current covid -19 lockdown
On 1st September 2020, The Uganda Institute of Banking and Financial Services applied to National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) to seek permission to rollout an Emergency Open, Distance and E-learning System (ODeL ) during the Covid – 19 Pandemic Lockdown.  NCHE reviewed the application documents submitted and sent a visitation team on 8th September 2020 to interact with the Institute team. Overall on all other variables other than Assessment and Examination, UIBFS scored an average of 74% from the assessment tool, It’s on this basis that NCHE granted permission to the Institute to adopt an Emergency Open, Distance and E-learning System (Odel ) to deliver the accredited Professional Programmes below:
  • Chartered Banker Program
  • Certified Credit Management
  • Banking Certificate
  • Diploma in Microfinance
The Institute Registrar, therefore, announces to the general public that enrolment /application for January 2021 Semester is on-going for the Programs listed above. Eligible aspiring Banking Professionals, Current Bank Employees, Staff of other Financial Institutions, University Students and S.6 leavers are encouraged to apply Online following online application link: sms.uibfs.or.ug or visit the Institute Website at www.uibfs.or.ug or visit the Institute’s Offices on Plot 10 Buganda Road opposite GT Bank & Buganda Road Magistrates Court.
