Mary is a multi-sectoral Human Resources (HR) and an Organizational Development (OD) expert, a Certified Trainer and Coach, grounded in business development; and has over Fifteen years’ experience of successfully designing, leading and implementing Human Resources Business Partnering with leading multi-national organizations like: Stanbic Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank; state parastatals like: Uganda Management Institute and Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (formerly Uganda Television).
Mary is currently Head of Human Resources, FINCA Uganda, leading and accounting for the implementation of the Company HR Strategy in line with organizational policy, best practices, legal and regulatory frameworks. To achieve a competitive advantage, Mary supports the attraction, recruitment, deployment, development, engagement, retention of talent in partnership with the Bank business line managers. She drives enhanced business performance by identifying and delivering critical HR support requirements, provision of flawless consulting/ advisory services in line with instructions set targets, and in alignment with the overall bank’s HR strategy. She is driven by passion to create successful teams, process and systems that drive ethical business growth through talent management, coaching, mentoring, and supporting teams to increases returns on investment.
She is a committed key driver as well as advocate for diversity, inclusion and belonging strategy as part of FINCA Uganda people pillar. This covers Gender representation, Talent Management, Gender pay equality, Women designed services and inclusive culture. As part of our Culture and practice, we ensure that people feel a sense of belonging in the workplace. Mary is a certified Transformation coach from CoachMastersacademy , member of the International Coach Federation and a chapter founder member of the International Coach federation Uganda Chapter. Mary is a fervent transformative career and performance management coach. She is also an active member of the Human Resources Manager association of Uganda.
She is an alumni member of the Future Women program, Cohort 18 2022 , an innovative program from the Federation of Uganda Employers (FUE) which prepare women for leadership positions in top management and in boardrooms. Mary holds a seat at the EXCO and add significant value to business.
