Nicholas Agaba Rugaba is an Engineer and Renewable Energy Expert with over 10 years of experience on energy and infrastructure projects.
He worked on the Isimba HPP as Assistant Project Manager for the client (UEGCL) and on Bujagali HPP as Shift Civil Engineer for the Contractor (Salini Construttori SPA).
He currently works as a Project Manager on the Nyagak III Hydro Project which is a Public Private Partnership. In the current role he has taken lead in restructuring the project agreements, securing letters of credit and disbursement of government commitments on the project.
He has vast experience in financial and business modelling for renewable energy projects and undertaking due diligence (technical & financial) for infrastructure projects.
Nicholas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Kyambogo University and an MBA from the Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI).
He is a Corporate Member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE) and is also currently pursuing Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification offered by the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Uganda (ICPAU).
